Artera takes data privacy and security seriously, and we believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that your organization’s data is protected and managed in a compliant manner at all times. As your patient communications software provider, we collect and use data to provide you with the best possible services and to continually improve our offerings.
The following article details data Artera uses to provide our Services to you, and how you can provide or rescind consent for the use of such data to improve our offerings for you. Data in Scope
You provide some of this data directly and some of it is collected via third-party partners, such as your EHR and other integrated vendors.
Message Details, including feature templates, Smart Phrases, hyperlinks, and message content.
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) data is required to deliver those messages, such as Practice details, Smart Phrase details, and patient communication preferences.
Communication data, including phone numbers and related information.
Please note that any patient-derived data would be de-identified or anonymized in accordance with applicable law prior to being utilized for any of the use cases discussed in this article.
Your Consent
By purchasing, activating, and using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of your data as is required to render you those services. With your consent, as can be viewed in your Artera Enterprise Settings menu, Artera can also continue to enhance the products and analytics we provide by using de-identified data we process for development. Some products, features, and services may not be available to you should you decide not to provide this consent.
If you would like to turn off this feature at any time, you can do so in the Artera Enterprise Settings menu in the Artera application and we will no longer leverage your data to provide you with these services.
Data Usage
Artera uses your data to provide products and services that support communication between your care team and patients.
This feature applies to the following use cases:
To improve and develop our products & services.
To create and deliver Data & Analytics Dashboards.
To develop data enabled products and services.
To customize our products and make recommendations to enhance their value to you.
All patient data will be de-identified in accordance with HIPAA de-identification standards prior to its use.
If you would like to turn this feature off for the above data usage, you may do so in your Artera Enterprise Settings menu in the Artera application and we will no longer leverage your data to provide you with these services.
Data Storage
We store your data in a HIPAA-compliant manner, on our secure servers that are consistent with industry standards. We understand the sensitivity of your data and take every reasonable measure to protect it from unauthorized access or use. In the event we are compelled to share your Data with law enforcement or other governmental bodies, we will inform you of such unless we are otherwise legally prohibited.
