User Settings control how Artera Harmony Federal Edition (AHFE) looks and how it alerts you. Appearance settings control whether AHFE displays in a light or a dark theme. Notification settings help you identify and resolve patient requests in real time.
Appearance
Appearance controls whether AHFE displays in a light or a dark theme. It applies to the AHFE web app only and does not change anything your patients see.
To change your appearance setting:
- Select the My Profile button from the navigation bar.
- Select Light, System, or Dark under Appearance.
There are three options:
- Light: AHFE always defaults to the light theme. This is how AHFE looks today and it is the setting you start with.
- System: AHFE follows your device's own appearance setting. AHFE uses the dark theme when your device is set to dark mode and the light theme when it is not. If you change your device setting while AHFE is open, AHFE updates to match right away.
- Dark: Select Dark to set AHFE to dark mode.
NOTE: Your Appearance choice is saved for the browser you are using on that device. If you sign in on a different device, or in a different browser, AHFE starts with Light until you set it there.
Notifications
By default, App Sounds and App Notifications are ON each time you log into AHFE. Upon logout, AHFE automatically maintains any changes made to your notification settings when logging back in.
App Sounds
When enabled, AHFE makes a sound each time a patient messages your Practice or when you are internally mentioned in a Patient Channel. Please make sure the volume on your computer is on and turned up to an audible level.
App Notifications
When enabled, you will receive a pop-up notice for messages received by your Practice when logged into AHFE. The notification displays in the top-right corner of your screen, even if you are currently viewing a different window. Notifications only display while you have a tab open on the "All Messages" view. The app notification format displays as "Message from {Patient Name}".
Managing Notifications
- Select the My Profile button from the navigation bar.
- Enable or disable App Sounds and/or App Notifications.
