What is Azara? Artera's Supported Azara Use Cases Implementation InformationReportingFAQsWhat is Azara?
Azara Healthcare provides customers with population health management, reporting, and analytics tools. Azara and Artera work together to facilitate care transformation, improve the patient experience, and perform targeted outreach to cohorts of patients.
Through this partnership, healthcare organizations can communicate with patients in their preferred language and leverage Artera’s Conversational Messaging capabilities to support the personalized communication experience.
Artera’s Supported Azara Use Cases
Artera and Azara customers can choose to leverage Artera’s Messaging API (MAPI) and/or Artera Campaigns to deliver messages from the Azara Patient Outreach (APO) platform.
Messaging API
Customers can choose to build their Campaign directly from within Azara and leverage Artera’s Messaging API to send messages to population health patients about actions they must take or preventative health measures. A message’s timing, content, and cadence is configured from within Azara and then routed to the patient through Artera’s messaging rails.
Patient Integrated List via Artera Campaigns
APO-Patient Integrated List allows customers to generate a targeted list of patient cohorts who need to be messaged. Once the list is generated, Azara shares it with Artera as a file through an SFTP.
Once the file is available, it appears under the Patient Integrated List drop-down menu within step 2 of Artera’s Campaigns module. The generated file will contain one column that lists each patient’s unique patient identifier/MRN. Users can then select the Patient List and continue through the Campaign’s configuration to determine the timing and content of the outbound message.
Implementation Information
Setup steps are required to leverage the Artera and Azara integration for either use case. These steps will vary depending on whether your organization currently uses Artera’s Message API functionality and is an existing Azara customer.
The Patient Integrated List use case follows the same operational implementation steps and considerations as the Messaging API use case. Your Artera Representative will work with you to configure your integration. Click here to learn more about Messaging API.
NOTE: Additional technical integration steps are needed to support the SFTP build associated with the Patient Integrated List use case.
Reporting
Different reporting capabilities exist based on which Azara-Artera use case your organization is leveraging. Note that Azara also offers its own reporting directly to customers.
The Harmony Insights Dashboard can be used to analyze the message count breakdown of your organization's Messaging API integration with Azara.
If your organization is leveraging the Patient Integrated List use case and is an Artera Analytics Plus customer, Campaign messaging reporting is available within the Artera Campaign reports here.
FAQs
How often is a new APO file sent from Azara to Artera?
The SFTP is configured to look for new files every 5-10 minutes, allowing the Patient Integrated List to populate with multiple new lists daily if needed.
The Patient Integrated List is not displayed as a drop-down menu in Artera. Why is that?
The feature will only appear after the Technical Services team completes the SFTP setup and a new file from Azara to Artera has been sent.
How long do files stay in the SFTP? What if we wish to access a file from a year ago?
Files are not cleared out from the SFTP and can be accessed after any length of time.
What if my organization does not currently have Azara?
If you are interested in using Azara with Artera but do not have Azara, please contact your Customer Success Representative for the next steps.
