What is WebMD Ignite? Artera's Supported WebMD Ignite Use Cases Implementation InformationFAQsWhat is WebMD Ignite?
The WebMD Ignite and Artera integration allows patients to enroll in medication affordability programs and receive relevant patient education via text messages. Patients can receive those messages through the same Line used to deliver their Appointment Automations or new Practice Lines.
Together, Artera and WebMD help providers improve clinical outcomes by providing patients with a simple, seamless access point for information while reducing friction points in the patient journey.
Artera’s Supported WebMD Ignite Use Cases
Direct to Patient Automated Education
Connect with patients throughout their care journey and deliver relevant, appropriate education from WebMD.
WebMD has the ability to use a FHIR or HL7 interface with your EMR to automatically trigger timely, personalized patient education to patients throughout their health journey. This includes multimedia content, illustrated education materials, medication information sheets, emergency discharge instructions, health education videos, and more.
Medication Affordability Programs
Medication cost savings available through WebMD RX can improve patient adherence, resulting in improved health outcomes. Medication Affordability Programs can be impactful for health systems with patient populations consisting largely of commercially-insured and/or uninsured patients.
WebMD uses a FHIR or HL7 interface with your health system’s EMR to automatically trigger a Medication Affordability Program enrollment link to patients prescribed a medication. Patients can click the link in their message, sign up for the Medication Affordability Program, and receive a Prescription Savings Card through text.
These Savings Cards are accepted at over 35,000 pharmacies nationwide and cover more than 9,500 medications. Savings Cards can be branded for your health system, creating a more customized experience for patients.
