If implemented by your organization, Referrals display on the Patient Facesheet under the Referrals section within the Events tab. 

Viewing Referral Details

  1. You can open the Referral from the Patient Facesheet to view the Referral Details mapped from your EMR. This can include Referred to Department or Referred to Specialty to simplify patient scheduling. 
  2. To view the Referral Details, click on the Referral's (...) menu and choose Referral Details. 
  3. Depending on the data passed through the integration between Artera and your EMR, some fields may or may not be left blank.

Referral Visibility Options

You can determine which Referrals appear on the Patient Facesheet with the Referral Visibility Options Setting. Any Referrals that have a status not selected in this list will not be visible on the Patient Facesheet. For example, if you do not want be able to view Referrals with an All Visits Scheduled status, simply ensure that it is not selected in the setting.


Tip: This setting is available within the Default and Practice settings menus. Practice Settings will override the options set at the Default level. 

Recent Messages Filters

Included in Referrals is the ability to filter your Recent Messages view by Referred to Specialty.
